Good morning Von Miller Jersey , Broncos Country! It’s a great week in the Mile High City as John Elway has nearly finalized his overhaul of the Broncos’ coaching staff after sealing the deal on Wednesday with Rich Scangarello, former 49ers quarterbacks coach, to be the Broncos’ new offensive coordinator.Combined with new offensive line coach Mike Munchak (and hopefully current running backs coach Curtis Modkins, there is renewed hope in Broncos Country that the Denver offense can be exciting again.Or at least interesting - and hopefully effective. While Hall-of-Famer Munchak has proved his mettle as an O-line coach, having recently coached perhaps the best offensive line in the league at Pittsburgh, Scangarello comes in with no experience as a coordinator at the NFL level, but plenty from college. And that’s probably why he was so enticing to Elway and new head coach Vic Fangio.Scangarello’s success with four different quarterbacks - three of whom were patchwork backups - in the past two seasons at the Niners was impressive, but what should impress Broncos fans is something only a good story can tell.Matt Barrows, now covering the Niners for The Athletic, told that story in a 2017 Sacramento Bee article about the QB coach, who while coaching at UC Davis in 2009 was hired by the Raiders to work with their quarterbacks:Scangarello told Barrows that he knew he’d really need to work with Shanahan to fully grasp the concept, so when a position that didn’t even really have a title came open under Shanahan at the Falcons, Scangarello grabbed it.And having worked closely with Shanahan at the Falcons, Scangarello learned that evaluating quarterbacks to thrive in their complex system was going to have to go beyond just arm power. It was going to take a quarterback who could process things quickly because that’s what the pro game required. And no doubt, part of Scangarello’s success with Nick Mullens when Jimmy Garoppolo and then CJ Beathard went down with injuries had actually started months before when evaluating the Southern Miss quarterback during the pre-draft process. While the 2019 quarterback for the Broncos may still be in question, it seems obvious Elway has picked a new offensive coordinator who can help him do a much better job evaluating young talent and ultimately developing a quarterback of the future.Horse Tracks - docllv’s pick of the day49ers: QBs coach took lowly job so he could learn from Kyle Shanahan | The Sacramento Bee“I would say the one thing I could truly appreciate beyond anything with coach Shanahan is that he’s trying to score on every single play he calls,” Scangarello said. “And I never thought that way as a play caller in the pass game. Sometimes I was thinking more about staying on schedule. And he was always thinking, ‘How can we attack the defense and create explosive (plays)?’ It really changed my mindset for the better.”Horse TracksWhy the Broncos hired Rich Scangarello as their offensive coordinator – The AthleticThe Broncos appointed a trusted assistant of Kyle Shanahan's who has only four years of NFL coaching experience to lead their offense. What are the Broncos Biggest Needs?Until the Broncos find a franchise QB, every other need is secondary.Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY SportsWith the bulk of free agency in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to look at what Broncos brass should pay extra attention to this draft season. If you read my post last week, you already know I liked Elway’s moves in the veteran market. It set Denver up to chase the best player available at each selection, but of course some positions need a little more love than others.Running BackIf you missed the last 12 months somehow, the Broncos are pretty set here. Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman give Denver a nasty 1-2 punch at the position. If there’s any reason to throw a pick at the position it’s to push Devontae Booker. The 4-year pro out of Utah has been solid, but he’s entering a contract year. One player that really caught my eye is James Williams out of Washington State, as he’d step and give the offense as a receiving threat from the backfield on the first day of camp. Offensive TackleWelcome to life with two entrenched starters. It’s been awhile, but barring injury the Broncos starting tackle tandem is set for the next two years (at the least.) The position only makes this list because depth is a big question mark. As of today Nico Falah and Andreas Knappe are slated as OT3 and 4 by Ourlads. Don’t be shocked if Elway grabs a prospect to groom into long term insurance or perhaps a swing lineman. One name that I plan to look into is Isaiah Prince from Ohio State. The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabbs called him a tackle with a “considerably high ceiling, considerably low floor,” but I’m feeling dangerous with Munchak on the coaching staff. Edge RusherVon Miller and Bradley Chubb give Vic Fangio one of the more dangerous pass rush pairs in the league Joe Flacco Jersey , but the depth behind them’s been gutted. Shaq Barrett has signed on with the Buccaneers in an attempt to start and make bank in 2020. Shane Ray has been rumored to the Colts. What’s left is Jeffrey Holland, Aaron Wallace, and Deiontrez Mount, who have combined for a grand total of 24 tackles and 1 sack in their careers to date. Chances are good Denver will look to add talent to the mix. The Broncos showed interest in a multitude of edge players at the Combine. Justin Hollins and Shareef Miller are two prospects I’ve taken an interest in.If Denver strikes out on prospects or find a a couple dollars hiding in a mattress, Aaron Lynch remains on the free agent market. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 5th round of the 2014 draft and followed Fangio to the Bears last year. Cornerback / SafetyThe additions of Kareem Jackson, Bryce Callahan leave Broncos Country playing with nicknames for the rebuilt secondary. There is little doubt that it’s now a position of strength, at least in 2019. Things get murkier in 2020 and beyond. Jackson and Chris Harris will both be over 30 years old by season’s end, and both Will Parks and Justin Simmons’ contracts expire. Depending on the long term plan with the four, Elway could (and probably should) look to add another prospect or even two to the mix. There’s reason to believe the Broncos defense will use Nickel personnel more than 50% of the time, so you can never really have too many talented coverage players. Wide ReceiverIn all reality, the receiver position can truly be broken down into 3 positions. If you’re looking to read up on them more, check out this great piece over at Field Gulls. Denver is set for the long term at the Z so long as Courtland Sutton continues to make strides. Tim Patrick profiles as a similar player and should make the roster as WR4 with some upside. For this reason it’s beyond doubtful a player like D.K. Metcalf will be a Bronco next year, even if he’s an exciting talent.Where there’s a need to spend draft capital is the X or slot receiver, depending on how the new coaching staff views DaeSean Hamilton.Emmanuel Sanders has portrayed his love for Denver and desire to make the Ring of Fame, but he’s a 32-year old coming off a major injury with an expiring contract in 2020. He could certainly return, but it’d be wise to dip into a very deep receiver class in case he doesn’t.Terry McLaurin and Auburn’s Darius Slayton are a couple names that have made my list of prospects to dig into.Nose Tackle / Interior Defensive LineWith what looks like a very full defensive line group, nose probably isn’t as big a need as it appears, at least in 2019. A 2 man defensive line was the base personnel for Fangio’s Bears D and Denver already has a 4 man rotation with Zach Kerr, Shelby Harris, Derek Wolfe, and Adam Gotsis. Still, there are downs where a big body will be called upon. Oakland threw a wrench into Fangio’s hopes when the Raiders resigned Johnathan Hankins prior to free agency opening. Since then the Broncos have resigned Kerr and there’s rumors that Domata Peko may return to Denver, but a younger big body would be ideal. The line could be a huge question mark in 2020 if Elway doesn’t resign any of the expiring contracts. Wolfe, Gotsis, and Harris could all wear different jersey’s next year. For that reason alone it makes sense that Denver has scheduled a visit Dre’Mont Jones of Ohio State. Interior Offensive LineRonald Leary hasn’t played in 16 games since 2014, and while both Elijah Wilkinson and Connor McGovern performed admirably last year, both were over-matched in the roles currently expected of them. One could hope Munchak works his magic on them both, but it’d be wise to grab a center or guard prospect if one’s there on Day 2 of the draft.Denver could do a lot worse than Texas A&M’s Erik McCoy or Boston College’s Chris Lindstrom if they grab someone at the top of the second round.LinebackerIt’d be fair to categorize linebacker as the first pressing need facing the 2019 Broncos. It would also be fair to accept Josey Jewell and Todd Davis as the 2019 starters. Neither is the ideal for a Fangio defense, but they’d be far from the weakest pair to play for him. I’ve seen quite a few fans show concern about Denver defending tight ends going forward, but scheme will help there. That said? If Denver passes on a quarterback on Day 1 of the draft I’d expect both Devin White and Devin Bush to warrant consideration. As I mentioned for GIF Horse. Another name that’s worth consideration is Minnesota’s Blake Cashman. He isn’t quite the athletic freak the Day 1 guys are, but he could wind up the best linebacker from this class. Tight EndGun to my head, I’d tell you this is the biggest hole on the current roster. Jeff Heuerman is serviceable, when healthy. Jake Butt has played in as many NFL games as he’s had ACL surgeries in his career. Troy Fumagalli was a 2018 fifth round pick who has yet to play a single professional snap. There is a dire need for a talent infusion here.Fortunately, the 2019 draft has what looks like the richest tight end class in recent memory. Just last week I looked at what a Day 1 tight end selection could look like, but teams will probably find starters all the way down to Day 3. Denver will work out San Jose State’s Josh Oliver and have met with him at the Combine. Kahale Warring is another guy that really caught my eye.QuarterbackIf you believe John Elway at his word, he already employs a quarterback who’s just now entering his prime in Joe Flacco. I’m not sold, but there’s reason to believe Denver may wait until the loaded 2020 QB class to address the long term need at the position. But let there be no doubt: until the Broncos have a real long term answer at the quarterback position they’re playing for second place in the AFC West.Your Broncos Links2019 NFL Draft Film Breakdown: Drew Lock, Franchise Quarterback? - Mile High ReportEmmanuel Sanders’ wild week with Denver and Pittsburgh regional radio - Mile High ReportBest coach for all 32 NFL teams in the Super Bowl era2019 NFL Draft Scouting Report: LSU inside linebacker Devin White - Mile High Report2019 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Iowa tight end T.J. The Arizona Cardinals offense did very little in their season opener Jordan Reed Jersey , a 24-6 home loss to Washington. They promise improvement, but it will have to come Sunday against a team with maybe the best defense in the NFL, the Rams, and in Los Angeles yet."If you look at them on paper," Arizona quarterback Sam Bradford said, "they're probably one of the more talented units in the league. The way they played the second half last week, they played really well. So, I think it's definitely a big challenge for us, but we've accepted that. We're putting in the work getting ready for them."This will be the first time Bradford has faced the Rams, the franchise that drafted him No. 1 overall and gave him the last of the huge rookie contracts ($50 million guaranteed) before he went on to an injury-plagued career in St. Louis. Bradford left the Rams after missing the entire 2014 season with a knee injury. That was two years before the team moved back to Los Angeles. So the game has no special meaning to him, he said."I think if it would have happened sooner in my career," he said Wednesday, "maybe there would be more, but the staff there is completely different. There's only a handful of guys on that roster that were there when I was there. So there's just really not a lot of connection that's still there for me."What does grab his and the rest of the offense's attention is the need for improvement. Arizona had the ball three times, two of them three-and-outs, and ran 14 plays in the first half against the Redskins, falling behind 21-0 and throwing out the game plan, which was to have been centered on the running of David Johnson."We've got to come up big on third downs. We've really got to focus on third down and picking that up," right guard Justin Pugh said.Arizona converted 1-of-8 third down opportunities in Sunday's loss, 0-for-3 in the first half. For the game, the Cardinals managed 213 yards of offense to the Redskins' 429."The encouraging thing, when we looked at the film, is there weren't any major glaring breakdowns," he said.Just a lot of little things that went wrong. Now bring on the potent Rams, who scored 23 unanswered points to wrap up a 33-13 win at Oakland on Monday night.First-year Cardinals coach Steve Wilks said his offense remains a work in progress."Early in the season, I think it's still learning," said Wilks Bryce Love Washington Redskins Jersey , the defensive coordinator at Carolina last season who's turned the offense over to coordinator Mike McCoy. "I think we're still learning each other. Players are (learning) the timing. ... It's a process you've got to continue to go through, and we're still in the early stages."Against Washington, the only wide receiver besides Larry Fitzgerald to catch a pass was rookie Christian Kirk, who caught a four-yarder. That has to change, Bradford and Wilks said. The team needs to get Kirk and second-year pro Chad Williams more involved."I think there are some things we can probably do game plan-wise to get them going a little bit," Bradford said, "some easy completions, some things out there, just get the ball in their hands and then kind of build from there."Of course, they will have to do it against that bruising Rams defense. The Cardinals quarterback smiled when told that defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh marks the calendar every time he faces Bradford because he wants to hit him."Great," he said. "I get it. I think everyone wants to hit me. I think that's kind of how it goes."Notes: DE Markus Golden, recovering from major knee surgery, worked out on a limited basis. He said he was following trainers' orders and didn't know if he'd be ready to play Sunday. ... Starting RT Andre Smith has a sore elbow and it's not known if he will go Sunday, either. An MRI showed no structural damage. ... S Antoine Bethea, S Tre Boston and DL Corey Peters met with Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey on Tuesday to discuss the criminal justice system. "We're all human beings. We all live in this world," Bethea said. "We all see what happens, especially with the camera phones nowadays. We're all smart people. We all see what happens. We all know there's inequality in this world so we can't be naive to that even though you want to be. ... We were able to sit there and talk about those problems yesterday." Raiders week three report card vs Dolphins If you were to look at the week three boxscore you would think the Raiders completely dominated the Dolphins. They racked up 434 total yards of offense P.J. Hall Jersey , picked up 25 first downs, possessed the ball for just over 38 minutes, and ran 74 plays on offense to the Dolphins 39.Unfortunately, for the Raiders the scoreboard told the only story that matters.Once again the Raiders had a complete fourth quarter meltdown after a strong first half. The Raiders were outscored 14-3 in the fourth. On the season they have been outscored by opponents 37-3.The Raiders are now 0-3.They will head back home to host the Cleveland Browns in week four. Let’s take a look at the Raiders report card for week three.Aerial Attack: C+A week after setting an NFL record for completion percentage, Derek Carr once again finds himself squarely in the cross hairs of an unhappy fan base. For the most part, Carr played very well.He completed 27 of 39 passes for 345 yards and one touchdown.Trailing 21-17, late in the fourth quarter, on the Dolphins 13 yard line, Carr threw his second interception of the game ending any hopes the Raiders had for a win.I took major points off the grade for the crucial turnover. After two weeks of little to no production, Derek Carr and Jordy Nelson were able to get on the same page.Nelson had himself a huge game catching six passes for 173 yards and a touchdown.Outside of Nelson’s 173 yards, the rest of the Raiders receivers and backs were able to manage only 21 receptions for 172 yards.Amari Cooper was shut down with two catches for 17 yards.Ground Game: B-The Raiders have yet to establish a consistent run game in any of their first three games.Part of the blame goes on the offensive line not getting enough push. You certainly can’t fault Marshawn Lynch, he is running as angry as ever but with little production.Yards were hard to come by for Lynch, gaining only 64 yards on 19 carries. Doug Martin did well with his limited touches, gaining 43 yards with a 4.8 yards per carry average.Keith Smith was stuffed for no gain on his lone carry of the game.On fourth and one, on the Dolphins one yard line Johnny Townsend Jersey , Jon Gruden foolishly called a fullback dive to Smith that was met for no gain.Offensive line: C+With the amount of money invested in the offensive line there is no excuse for the lack of production in the run game.109 yards on 32 carries is not going to cut it.The offenses is relying too much on the arm of Derek Carr and the offensive line needs to step up and allow the run game to be the focal point.A great example of the lack of push the line gets was on the fourth and goal in the first quarter when fullback Keith Smith was stuffed at the one yard line.Kolton Miller had a crushing false start penalty in the second the second quarter. With the ball on the Dolphins two yard line, the penalty prevented the Raiders from scoring a touchdown and instead had to settle for a field goal.Derek Carr also took some big hits throughout the game, getting sacked three times.Donald Penn was lost for the game with a concussion in the first quarter.Defensive line: B-I think it’s fair to say that a B- for a group that generated zero pass rush is being very generous, even if they held the Dolphins run game to 41 yards. The lack of pass rush continues to be a major area of concern for the Raiders. They may need to look to add a free agent sooner rather than later to address the weakness.Clinton McDonald collected the groups only sack. Linebackers: C-Ryan Tannehill attacked the linebackers and the middle of the field in the passing game.Tannehill was able to dink and dunk the ball down the field with little resistance. The big play in the game was on a Dolphins trick play.A reverse pass that ended in a 52-yard Jakeem Grant touchdown.Tahir Whitehead fell for the reverse which allowed Grant to run down the sideline uncovered. Secondary: CThe script continues to be the same for the secondary.Early in the game they show flashes of play making ability, but late in the game when stops are needy they can’t get it done.Marcus Gilchrist missed a tackle on Jakeem Grant’s 52-yard touchdown reception which could have kept the Dolphins from scoring a touchdown. The Raiders allowed 332 yards passing and three touchdowns on 18 completions.Special Teams: DIt was a rough day at the office for the special teams.Lousy punts, penalties, and lack of production in the return game will earn you a D.There were two plays that stand out to me as being particularly bad.The first one, a punt return that Dwayne Harris did not field, but teammate Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie thought would be wise to pick up the ball inside his own 10.To make matters worse, Harris was called for an illegal block after a terrible return. The second was a Johnny Townsend punt.Punting from his own 45-yard line, Townsend badly needed to pin the Dolphins back deep.He was unable to do so and the result was a 25-yard punt. The Dolphins began their drive on the 30-yard line.Overall Grade: C Going overseas to play a regular-season game for the first time in franchise history, the Seattle Seahawks did as expected for their trip to England — looking at studies, analyzing options of when to leave and when to arrive and how to keep the week as normal as possible.Added into that mix of planning was coach Pete Carroll reaching out to an old friend who became accustomed to making the trip to London on a yearly basis.Carroll said he spoke with former Jacksonville coach and current Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Gus Bradley extensively about how to manage the trip. Bradley made the journey once a year for his four seasons as the Jaguars' head coach, a job he got after four seasons as the Seahawks' defensive coordinator under Carroll.Carroll said the message Bradley relayed was making sure the distractions didn't become overwhelming."They had made it through the difficulties really and they had become so familiar," Carroll said. "It was making sure that everyone was focused and not distracted by the trip and the event of being in a foreign country and all that kind of stuff. Just so there was a process of normal focus going into game time Reggie Nelson Jersey , they were concerned about that always."Seattle will practice on Wednesday at home before packing up and heading to the airport for a roughly nine-hour flight that's scheduled to land in London at midday Thursday. The Seahawks are leaving a day earlier than their opponent, the Oakland Raiders, who plan to depart post-practice on Thursday from the Bay Area.Carroll compared the situation to a bowl game like he experienced during his time coaching at Southern California. Except instead of spending a week in one place preparing, the Seahawks will have about 72 hours on the ground in England leading up to kickoff."We have enough days to turn it around," Carroll said. "There's a lot of different ways people have done it — go over at the first of the week or wait as long as they can — and we have chosen our options after a long study and we feel really good about what we're doing. We should be OK. We'll be fine."Seattle started asking its players to begin altering their sleep schedules following Sunday's 33-31 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the hopes that when they board their flight at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Wednesday night, they'll be ready to get a little bit of sleep on the plane. The players will need it because once they land in London, the Seahawks intend on holding a practice shortly after arriving. It's partly to make sure they're staying with the normal routine of game preparation and partly to help keep the players awake in the hope they'll get into a regular sleeping pattern on their first night abroad."I'm gonna try to sleep. Apparently right when we land, about an hour and a half later we have practice," wide receiver Doug Baldwin said. "They're trying to keep us up, trying to get our internal clocks ready for this game. So hopefully sleep."Sleep has been a valuable commodity in recent days for offensive lineman J.R. Sweezy, whose wife gave birth to the couple's second child late last week. Sweezy said he was looking forward to the chance to play in London, but he didn't like the idea of being away from home for five days."That's going to be rough. It's unfortunate but it's got to be done," he said.NOTES: Carroll said LB K.J. Wright (knee) will not play in London, meaning the earliest he'll make his season debut is Week 8 at Detroit. Wright had what the team called minor knee surgery following Seattle's third preseason game but now will have missed more than one-third of the season. Carroll sounded optimistic Wright will be able to play when Seattle returns from its bye. ... DE Rasheem Green (ankle) will also miss Sunday's game. Green has been inactive the past two games.

COLUMBUS Custom Ottawa Senators Jerseys , Ohio (AP) — Columbus coach John Tortorella had trouble explaining how his team could blow a two-goal lead in the third period Saturday night only to come back and win 31 seconds into overtime. Finally, he resorted to quoting Forrest Gump.“It’s a box of chocolates — you just never know what you’re going to get from shift to shift at certain times,” Tortorella said. “I guess that’s just what the game is.” Panarin’s shot from the left circle glanced off the far post and into the net to give the Blue Jackets a 5-4 victory over the Buffalo Sabres, who had scored a pair of goals in a two-minute span of the third period to erase the deficit and force the extra period. That all came after Cam Atkinson scored two goals in 31 seconds of the second period to give Columbus what looked like a comfortable lead.“I just don’t understand it sometimes,” Tortorella said. “But we found a way to get two points.”Atkinson and Panarin each had two goals and an assist, and Pierre Luc-Dubois had a goal and a pair of assists, including the pass to Panarin low in the circle that set up the overtime goal.Joonas Korpisalo stopped 34 shots and is undefeated in four starts for the Blue Jackets, who won their second straight and ended a three-game winning streak for Buffalo.Jeff Skinner and Jason Pominville each had a goal and an assist, and backup goalie Linus Ullmark — who previously had given up just one goal in two starts this season — had 32 saves for Buffalo. Kyle Okposo got his third goal of the season for Buffalo 1:38 into the game on a 2-on-1 rush. Dubois evened it with a snipe from the middle of the right circle later in the first, with Panarin getting his fourth primary assist in the past two games. Skinner got a fortunate deflection right onto his stick at the bottom of the right circle and slipped the puck between Korpisalo and the near post to get his team-leading sixth goal and make it 2-1 Sabres at the end of the first.Dubois returned the favor to his linemate early in the second with a feed that led to Panarin’s finish from the left circle to tie it again.Atkinson’s pair in the second period gave Columbus a 4-2 lead www.officialflyersproshop.com , but Buffalo got goals in the third from Pominville and then Casey Middelstadt on a power play to even the score and set up Panarin’s overtime heroics.“He’s one of the best players in the league, and it kind of showed in this game,” Ullmark said. “It was a good shot.”Buffalo was trying to win four straight for the first time since 2014. It didn’t happen, but coach Phil Housley was pleased with the effort.“I have to give credit to our guys for finding a way to battle back,” he said. “We would have loved to have won that game in overtime, but getting a point after being two down in the third period says a lot about our group.”NOTES: Atkinson’s fifth and sixth tallies of the season in a 31-second span of the second period broke a franchise record for quickest back-to-back goals…. He’ll get a bigger one for us later in the series. He’s been great for us so far, so no reason to think about that anymore. At the end of the day Philadelphia Flyers T-Shirts Authentic , it’s a great save and you move forward.”Braden Holby snuffed the shot with his goalie stick in a 3-2 victory that evened the series heading in Game 3 on Saturday night.Vegas snagged a winner when they selected Neal from Nashville last June in the expansion draft. They got a skilled forward who scored 20 goals in 10 straight seasons (now 11) and a player who turned out to be perfect for a team that had to mesh immediately to be successful.”He’s a natural leader,” Golden Knights right wing Ryan Reaves said. ”He likes leading the boys into battle. When he has something to say he’s going to say it, and people are going to listen.”Neal reached the Stanley Cup Final last year with the Predators, who lost to Pittsburgh. Now here he is again, with another crack at winning it all.”It’s a special team and a special group of guys,” Neal said. ”I’ve been to the finals before, so just try to give them little tips. I try to lead by example, do the right things on the ice. We’ve got a group that responds well.”Neal seriously wants to win, but he isn’t always serious. And that’s the way his teammates like it.”I’m not going to pump his tires too much because I don’t want to hear about it, but he’s definitely one of those guys that keeps it loose Philadelphia Flyers Hoodies Authentic ,” Reaves said. ”You need guys like that around the team. He’s talking to guys, telling them you never know if you’re going to get another opportunity, so you’ve got to find a way to bring your best.”Toward that end, the 30-year-old Neal has helped carry the team with his stick. He has five goals and five assists in 17 games during the playoffs Philadelphia Flyers Hats Authentic , including Vegas’ first goal in Game 2 on Wednesday.Asked whether Neal is more valuable as a player or a leader, Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant replied, ”On the ice is the major thing for me. When he scores goals like he did the last game, he makes our job a lot easier as coaches. James has been outstanding for us. He definitely helps our room with the young players, for sure.”Most notably, Tuch.”He’s been a mentor to me. He brought me aside today and told me what I could have done better on that shot but also that I have to move on,” Tuch said. ”Everyone knows how good a hockey player he is. I don’t know if people knew he was that much of a leader. Maybe it was a different vibe in Nashville. But this year he’s been a huge leader for us, one of our (six alternate) captains, and it’s been great.”—More Stanley Cup coverage: https://apnews.com/tag/StanleyCupFinals

ST. PAUL Ryan Getzlaf Jersey , Minn. (AP) — A goaltender who was winless in his previous 21 decisions outplayed an All-Star down the stretch Friday night.Cory Schneider got his first win in nearly 14 months when Nico Hischier scored 3:19 into overtime, lifting the New Jersey Devils to a wild 5-4 victory over the slumping Minnesota Wild.Hischier, Marcus Johansson and Kyle Palmieri each had a goal and an assist for the Devils, who won for the second time in eight games. Will Butcher and Ben Lovejoy also scored.“We’ve talked a lot about when things aren’t going well and adversity strikes it’s up to the way we care about each other and tonight showed that,” Palmieri said. “It was our culture coming out and believing in each other.”Schneider had 15 saves in relief of Keith Kinkaid, including three in overtime. He allowed five goals Thursday in Chicago and was 0-17-4 since his last win on Dec. 27, 2017.“Sometimes things happen in a strange way, but I was more excited for our team just to show some mettle and to come back and win a tough game after a tough trip,” Schneider said. “It was nice to see us get rewarded as a group. For anybody who knows me, I’m not overly emotional one way or another. I think everyone else was more excited about it than I was.”In overtime, Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk’s errant pass behind the net was picked off by Palmieri. We’re not blind. We saw how they went in, but the other thing that bothers me is we do this all the time, we get them down and you don’t get that killer instinct and you stop playing and you try to defend all the time and it’s a losing way to play.”Playing for the third time in four nights, New Jersey trailed 4-1 late in the second period before Butcher scored off a deflected pass. Shandor Alphonso never envisioned his hockey career taking him to officiating. He didn’t have to look far to see it was possible. As a young, black player, all Alphonso had to do was watch ”Hockey Night in Canada” or the Stanley Cup Final and he saw fellow minority Jay Sharrers working as a linesman.”To be able to see someone who kind of looked like me working at the biggest stage of his job, it was unreal,” Alphonso said. The 34-year-old Alphonso is the NHL’s only African-American official, and Calgary Flames assistant Paul Jerrard is the league’s only black coach. With the sport’s expansion to some nontraditional markets across the United States, there are almost two dozen black players in the NHL, but Sharrers, Alphonso and Jerrard serve as inspiration for more to follow into positions of authority.”I think it’s an evolutionary process,” said Sharrers http://www.coyotesproshop.com/authentic-alex-goligoski-jersey , who recently retired. ”It’s definitely moved slowly, but I think when you just look at the amount of black players that are now in the league and the fact that that has increased, it would stand to reason that hopefully the opportunity for officials would present itself.”Sixty years after Willie O’Ree of the Boston Bruins broke the color barrier as the NHL’s first black player, the league is still taking steps to increase its diversity. Alphonso is an ambassador for the ”Hockey is for Everyone” campaign this month, which is Black History Month.Sharrers acknowledged the expense of playing hockey has been a hurdle for minority children for years, but said he is optimistic that more will not only lace up their skates but move into other roles.”It just stands to reason that that would be a natural progression, that there would more officials of color,” Sharrers said. ”The league has been very proactive since they partnered with Willie and created the diversity taskforce almost 20 years ago to expose and to present to people of color that hockey is a great game and it’s a viable opportunity.”Opportunities have existed for minorities to get into coaching and officiating, though the majority have ended up as goaltending coaches like former NHL goalie Fred Brathwaite. Jerrard played five games in the NHL and then went into coaching, where he’s a visible role model – even if that’s not a role he was looking for.”I’m just another coach who’s trying to do a good job in the league and stay in the league,” said Jerrard Christian Dvorak Jersey , 52, who has been an assistant with the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars and Flames along with several American Hockey League teams. ”I guess I am now in a little bit of a position of a role model, but my drive to be a role model isn’t due to the color of my skin. It’s just the way I wanted carry myself as a human being, the way I want to be looked at: doing the right thing and working hard.”Jerrard hopes kids seeing minorities on the ice playing or officiating or behind the bench coaching shows that ”if they’re skilled, driven and passionate, there’s an opportunity for them.”That’s what happened for Alphonso, who knew he wasn’t going to make it to the NHL as a player and wanted to stay in the game. He thought to himself, ”If Jay Sharrers can do it, I could do it” and followed him up the ranks. Now Alphonso is the one kids can look up to, and Sharrers – who became the NHL’s first black referee in 2001 – believes his younger counterpart can have an even bigger impact.”Being that his skin is a lot darker than mine and I’m very light-skinned http://www.coyotesproshop.com/authentic-clayton-keller-jersey , it wouldn’t register necessarily with someone unless they knew my background to know that I was a person of color,” Sharrers said. ”I think for him having both parents being black and being much more of a visible minority, if you will, I think that’s definitely a role that he will now assume.”Alphonso welcomes that position and would love to one day meet a fellow official he inspired to go that route.”It’s huge for younger kids to see there are way more things to hockey than just being a hockey player,” Alphonso said. ”That’s hopefully what we can inspire these kids to do and get them more involved with the game down the road.”—

Josh Rosen back at practice for Arizona Cardinals The first part of the Josh Rosen watch is over Arizona Cardinals Hoodie , as he was back working out with the team during the open portion of Arizona Cardinals practice. On Monday, Josh Rosen banged his throwing hand on the helmet of a defender, jamming his thumb. It kept him out of Wednesday’s practice, but Head Coach Steve Wilks was confident he would be ready to go by Sunday for the Arizona Cardinals tilt versus the Dallas Cowboys, as Wilks talked about the injury yesterday:Yet Youth Customized Arizona Cardinals Jerseys , there was no way of knowing what the progression on the thumb would be.So, the fact that Rosen is back out with the team is good. The bad part is, that at least during the open portion of practice, Rosen was not throwing, so the Cardinals are not completely out of the woods yet in having Rosen back ready for Sunday. It isn’t an issue in the grand scheme of things www.cardinalsauthorizedshops.com , Rosen is clearly going into the 2018 season as the top backup for the Arizona Cardinals, but it is likely the last time Rosen will get live game action against another team until he is called upon in the regular season. That’s why, getting Rosen back for Sunday is important. It will give the Cardinals starting offensive some more work with their future starter. No matter what, let’s hope for quick healing for Rosen. The Cardinals have scored three points. The Broncos offense has scored 14 points. The Broncos defense has scored 14 points.Denver leads 28-3.Denver had its second pick-six of the first quarter off Josh Rosen, with cornerback Chris Harris Jr. intercepting a pass intended for J.J. None of us here are pleased with the situation the Raiders are in right now Authentic Marcus Gilchrist Jersey , and that goes for the players as well. Earlier today, Raiders corner Rashaan Melvin tweeted the following:A few hours later, he followed up with this Tweet:Melvin’s frustration surely lies not only with the team’s performance, but with his playing time as well. He only played seven defensive snaps against Seattle, and fellow corner Gareon Conley played zero. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Daryl Worley got almost all the corner snaps, and we saw how well that worked. Perhaps this was the coaching staff trying to mix things up and see if a new combination would work, but both Melvin and Conley have been pretty good this season and it’s odd that they wouldn’t figure more into the game plan. What’s less apparent here is what Melvin means by not changing his style, and returning to ‘what got him here’. Whatever that was, it made the Raiders step up and pay him a ton of money this offseason as a free agent, so we’d all love to see it if he has some sort of secret kung fu he hasn’t shown off as a Raider to this point. This can go one of two ways. There’s little doubt that many in the Raider locker room are similarly frustrated. The Raiders can either focus and channel this into better play, or they can fracture with bad attitudes, infighting and squabbling and Jon Gruden will completely lose the locker room. Let’s hope for all of our sakes that it’s the former. This is not at all the way the Raiders wanted to end the season. Just last week, they were celebrating probably their best overall performance of the season. It led to there being no Busters named. They brought none of that spirit to Kansas City.It seemed like everything that could go wrong Womens Mike Nugent Jersey , did. Whether it was giving up big touchdown passes, missing easy opportunities, or turning the ball over, the Raiders ranged from spinning their wheels to straight up doing a face plant. The result was the most lopsided loss to the Chiefs in 43 years.BallersDoug MartinStrong finish to the season for Martin, being named Top Baller the last two games. Even while putting the ball on the ground in this one, he still made so many plays it was impossible to deny he was the best thing the Raiders had going for them. The fumble was how his day began. He shook it off and made up for it. The Cheifs didn’t score off the turnover. And when the Raiders got the ball back, Martin got the Raiders moving with a 15-yard run and a 5-yard run on third and two. The next play was the Derek Carr pick six.In the second quarter, the Raiders would drive into Chiefs territory, setting up at the 41-yard-line. Martin saw pressure in the backfield and broke the tackle to pick up seven yards, putting the team in scoring range. The next play Carr would throw his second interception. The next possession was the Raiders’ only scoring drive. It featured several big Martin runs, including four in a row to start the drive. His second run, he killed a guy, blasting him to his back and picking up eight yards. Then runs of 13 and 11. The drive would reach the 32-yard-line with a 50-yard field goal. Martin had 42 yards on six runs. He had 83 yards on 16 carries (5.2 yards per carry) at the half. The first drive of the second half Authentic Jared Cook Jersey , nearly ended with a fumble on a strip sack, but Martin dove on the ball to recover it. He lost a fumble and recovered one. With the game out of hand, he didn’t run much in the second half, finishing with 100 yards on 21 carries (4.8 yards per carry).Kelechi Osemele, Rodney Hudson, Denzelle GoodSomeone had to clear the paths Martin was taking to pick up all those yards and more times than not, it was this interior trio. All three laid key blocks on Martin’s first big run for 15 yards. Hudson and Good blocked for him to pick up 5 yards on third and two. Each of his runs on the scoring drive were made possible by one or more of this trio. Osemele on the first run for four yards, Good on the 8-yard run, Hudson and Good on the 13-yard run, and Osemele and Hudson on the 11-yard run. The one big mistake was Good giving up a half sack. Neither Osemele nor Hudson gave up so any pressure on Carr.Gareon ConleyConley cleared the concussion protocol the day of the game and as has been the case much of this season, he was the best looking corner on the field for the Raiders. He had a pass defended on the first play of the game. Early in the second quarter he had tight coverage to force Pat Mahomes to scramble where he was tackled for a two-yard gain. An interception in the second quarter put the Chiefs in first and goal at the four-yard-line. Aftre a couple stops, the Cheifs were in third and goal from the 2 and Conley came up to assist with the stuff on a shovel to tight end Travis Kelce up the middle. They would go for it on fourth and goal at the one and be stuffed to turn it over on downs. On a deep pass attempt late in the first half, Conley made the leaping interception to keep the Chiefs from building on their 21-3 lead. He would give up just one catch for 9 yards to the odds on MVP Pat Mahomes.Dwayne HarrisAfter the Chiefs’ third touchdown to begin the second quarter http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/gareon-conley-jersey , Harris took the ensuing kickoff, broke three tackles, and picked up 34 yards to set the Raiders up with great field position at the 45. In three plays they were in scoring range, but it ended with an interception.Harris would do it again in the fourth quarter after the next Chiefs’ touchdown. He took the kickoff back 34 yards again to put the Raiders drive start at the 43. Again, the offense couldn’t take advantage of it.In the third quarter, Johnny Townsend sent a punt toward the end zone and there was Harris to down it at the one-yard-line. Once again, he did his part, but the Raiders defense couldn’t take advantage, giving up an 89-yard touchdown pass.Seth Roberts, Jordy NelsonThe longest catch for either of them was a 12-yard catch by Nelson. But neither of them are deep threats. And there really isn’t anyone who would fit that role on this team. They made the catches they needed to make to try and keep possession. That 12-yard pass was his first catch of the day and he would finish with 9 catches for 78 yards. Roberts’ longest catch went for 10 yards on third and ten on their second possession. A few plays later, after an 8-yard catch from Nelson, Roberts laid a big block to spring Martin for five yards on third and two. But alas, the promising drive ended with the pick six.Roberts would add a three-yard catch on third and three in the fourth quarter to finish with 5 catches for 31 yards.Honorable MentionJustin Ellis http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/reggie-nelson-jersey , Johnathan Hankins, Marquel Lee – After the interception return that set the Chiefs up in first and goal at the four-yard-line, these three kept the Chiefs out of the end zone. Even after an offsides penalty by Ellis put them in second and goal from the two, these three kept them from getting in. The three of them stuffed the next run for no gain, Marquel Lee and Conley stuff the inside shovel on third and goal, and Ellis and Hankins stopped the 4th and goal play for a loss and a turnover on downs.Daniel Carlson – He was asked to make one kick and he made it. It was a 50-yarder, which was his third of the season, tying a career-high.Continue to the Busters

Falcons vs. Buccaneers: What you need to know to watch Week 6 action in the NFC South The Falcons are going to try Youth Alex Mack Jersey , very hard, to thread the needle the rest of the way. That means one of the great runs in franchise history, and it begins with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are .500 and have a couple of strong wins this season, but their awful defeat at the hands of the Bears was even worse than Atlanta’s defeat at the hands of the Steelers. That leaves both teams coming off a humiliating loss, but the Bucs also are coming off a bye week. The Falcons’ season either all but officially ends here Youth Calvin Ridley Jersey , or they live to fight another day, and there’s not much more to be said than that. The Bucs aren’t simply going to roll over, no matter how much we might like that. They’re fighting for relevance, they’re fighting to not have to clean house again, and they’re fighting to stay alive in the NFC South in their own right. A team like Tampa Bay has had to absorb years and years of being a punchline Black De'Vondre Campbell Jersey , especially on the other end of some serious ass-kickings from other teams in the division, and this is supposed to be the year when it all comes together. GREEN BAY Glover Quin Jersey , Wis. (AP) — Packers receiver Davante Adams is questionable for Green Bay's season finale against the Detroit Lions because of a knee injury.Adams missed the first two days of practice this week, though he did say that he was optimistic that would be able to play. Adams needs to two catches and 134 yards receiving to set single-season franchise marks in each category.Other key players listed as questionable for Green Bay include cornerback Jaire Alexander (groin), left tackle David Bakhtiari (hip) and left guard Lane Taylor (knee). Receiver Randall Cobb (concussion) and linebacker Clay Matthews (back) are expected to play after coming off the injury report. For the Lions, receiver Kenny Golladay is questionable with a chest injury, while running back LeGarrette Blount is questionable with a knee injury. Defensive tackle Damon Harrison is also questionable with an ankle injury.Detroit also put defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson on injured reserve with a knee injury, and picked up defensive end Mitchell Loewen off waivers from the New Orleans Saints.Detroit Lions practice report: Quandre Diggs practices with cast, Ezekiel Ansah returns The Detroit Lions returned to practice on Wednesday http://www.lionscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-ricky-jean-francois-jersey , and they were actually a little more healthy than expected. Most notably, Quandre Diggs, who reportedly broke his hand during Week 4’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, was at practice and appeared to go through all of the individual drills. He did have a cast on his left hand, all but confirming Ian Rapoport’s report that he broke his hand. At this point, the Lions are at least testing out whether Diggs will be able to play with that cast on his hand. Elsewhere along the secondary, Tavon Wilson was present during individual drills. Wilson suffered a back injury against the Cowboys and only played four snaps. His attendance at practice is a good sign he may be ready in time for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers this Sunday.Additionally Cheap Ziggy Ansah Jersey , Wednesday saw the return Ezekiel Ansah. The Lions’ Pro Bowl defensive end has missed three straight games because of a shoulder injury. Puzzlingly, Ansah had been practicing every day, looking like he was on his way to recovery, but he regressed and missed every practice last week. His return on Wednesday is certainly a step in the right direction, but he still has a long way to go to prove he’ll be ready on game day. That being said, there were some curious absences. Running back LeGarrette Blount was not present, nor was linebacker Eli Harold. Neither appeared to leave Sunday’s game with an injury. For Harold http://www.lionscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-devon-kennard-jersey , though, there could be a different possibility. His wife was eight months pregnant when the Lions traded for him last month... so... math would mean his wife is now nine months pregnant... As expected, T.J. Lang was also not at practice. He suffered a concussion on Sunday, and even if he was on track to play this week—which seems highly unlikely—Wednesday would be a pretty early return to the practice field. Full injury reports will be released later on Wednesday.
